Secretary
Sara Kandel (she/her/hers)
Sara is a sophomore majoring in Public Health and minoring in Physiology at the University of Arizona. SFE has given her the opportunity to meet other Asian Americans who continue to experience the disparities we discuss. She has also had the opportunity to understand the implications of being a Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander in the United States. SFE created a safe space for her to comfortably share her own experiences and be an active listener of other communities. Although activism is something that plays a big role in who she is, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and dabbling in fine arts. SFE has lead her to her group of people and she is looking forward to all the progress we will make as a community.
